Galway & District League Premier League

The Western Hygiene Supplies Premier League is the top tier of the Galway & District League football competition ().
==Promotion and relegation==
The winners of the competition do not gain promotion into any other tier of Irish football. Despite this however, Mervue United and Salthill Devon, participants in the Western Hygiene Supplies Premier League took the opportunity to apply for membership of the A Championship. In the 2008 season, through their league position and a (playoff match ), Mervue United gained promotion from the A Championship to the FAI First Division(). The following season Salthill Devon replicated this feat, and joined Mervue United in the FAI First Division.
Teams finishing 9th and 10th respectively, are relegated to the Galway & District League First Division.
From papers viewed in National Library Dublin, the first Galway League may have been 1925/26 and was won by Galway Celtic Albion F.C., with the runners up being Galway Celtic F.C.
